Counseling services
Perinatal and Postpartum mental health
Perinatal counseling supports people through the emotional and psychological strain of trying to conceive, pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum year, as well as infertility and pregnancy loss. Our Therapists hold the PMH-C credential through Postpartum Support International, which requires specialized training, supervised experience with this population, a certification exam, and ongoing education.
The perinatal period here means preconception, pregnancy, childbirth, and the first year after delivery, plus fertility treatment and reproductive loss. Sessions are for the person who is pregnant or postpartum, and for partners who are in it with them.

How a session works
A typical session is 53-60 minutes. Weekly, Bi-weekly, or monthly scheduling depends on the concern and clinical recommendation. During the first meeting we will map the problem and the goal. Later sessions stay tied to that plan, and the plan can change if life does.
For a couple, the work is structured with both partners in the room focusing on the relationship. Couples Intensives are available that are 90 minutes long.
